Verbena

"If you didn't know him, you could mistake him for one of the homeless guys you saw sleeping on the streets of Atlanta."

Quote from novel Verbena written by Nanci Kincaid.

Homeless: What Image Comes To Mind? is an article I wrote explained in this blog post.

The appearance of character in novel was mentioned which would bring to mind a vivid image of a certain type of homeless person. It could be a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalks of NYC; Newark New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Chicago, Illinois;  Los Angeles; California or even here in Long Beach. (To name a few places I have seen this particular type of homeless person, given rise to a stereotypical view of all homeless people.)
