One of Deepak's solutions is to think: Light. He offers a visualization. He also says dress light ~ bright colors. And, to eat light foods. I tend to wear dark colors. The woman in black ~ the world is a terrible place (it is up to you to make it better) feeling of gloom?
I generally eat so light I get to feeling starved; wanting a hearty, stick your ribs meal. Beef Stew! He recommends salads, fresh fruits, eating 10 almonds. Does not work for me.
What am I hungry for? To have my teeth back, so I can chew almonds and lettuce. And peanuts. Any nuts. Nuts my favorite and only after dinner snack for many years. Pretzels. Since I can no longer chew nuts or pretzels. I eat popcorn or potato chips. I am addicted to eating one or the other every day. Chew apples? Pears, maybe. Watermelon has odd taste. Taste buds changed after chemo.
He suggest reading a book rather than snacking. I am reading books on Kindle while munching on popcorn. LOL Another part of contract is no negatively. That will take some work for me. *I am the love and beauty of life in full expression?
What am I hungry for? To be back in sunny, southern California. Not going to happen, sadly.
What am I hungry for? A cigarette! Maybe the weight gain is simply due to being forced to quit smoking. Cigarette prices are outrageous which helps keep me from starting up again, even though I miss that destresser terribly. Um, maybe I found my solution. Some insomnia nights I long to walk the two blocks to get a pack of smokes.
Many years when I could not fall back to sleep, got up, made a cup of instant coffee, smoked a cigarette and was able to fall to sleep before I could finish the cup of coffee.
I do not know if my constant need to snack has to do with not smoking. Mainly, it is boredom. Associating watching TV or reading a book with munching? Never was like that until recently
