Ski Demski

 Making slow progress removing obsolete links. Sad that the Ski Demski website no longer exists.

I made a link to a news article about Mr. Demski's  Super Flag. News article links do not seem to stay around for a long time. At one point in time Ski's Super Flag was in the Guinness World Book of records. 

The reason Ski Demski is mentioned on this Homeless in Long Beach blog is due to meeting, Tim, friend of Ski's. Tim told me about things that I no longer remember ~ like, I think, Ski had a lot of birds in his house. Saying that, it seems to me that when I walked by his house, I could hear the birds chirping. Perhaps I made note of that in my removed Blog posts.

Even before I was living on the streets, I lived not far from Demski's house. A recovering alcoholic, his van was covered top to bottom, side to side with AA slogan bumper stickers. I might be lying if I said there were also Peace bumper stickers in the mix. I often looked over the van, reading the stickers. 

Tim was to get me an invite inside Ski's house; that never materialized. I did an image search for his van; did not find. If interested, images that came up show his flag tattoo covered torso including in his glass top coffin. He was not buried. He was cremated and ashes stowed in flagpost outside his home.
