Mummified Body

Articles in the the Los Angeles Times reported that a mummified body was found in an illegally parked car. The first article said the body was believed to be a homeless woman called Singe. The second article says she has been identified as "a homeless woman from Fountain Valley" whose name is not being released because family has not been notified.

The 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis belonged to the father of a woman who became friends with the homeless woman and allowed her to use the auto for shelter. Evidently the woman drove the car for an estimated six months with the dead woman inside. The body was discovered when officers responded to a complaint of a car blocking a driveway.

Foul play is not suspected in the woman's death, but however could someone drive around in a vehicle with the stench of a dead person sitting in the passenger seat!
