Asleep or Dead?

Walking down alley to my gate, I wondered if this man was asleep or dead. Not unusual in Long Beach to see people crashed out on sidewalks; perhaps it was the position of his hands, lying perfectly still that had me wondering if I should walk over to check if he was breathing. As I unlocked the new padlocked back gate, heard the guy snore.

Homeless? The photo I took through fence did not arrive at email account yet. There were two beer cans and a blanket in the space between our fence and neighbors garage. Could be jumping to conclusion that the empty beer cans and blanket belonged to him, eh. Yet the property is not vacant and not a normal homeless hangout spot.
