4 Homeless Dead In Atlanta in One Night

Two men and two women believed to be homeless were found dead in 4 different places on Feb. 2, 2008, in Atlanta, according to article by Marcus K Garner and Rhonda Cook posted online at The Atlanta-Journal-Constitution. Excerpt from the article:

With rain followed by temperatures dropping just below freezing Friday night and Saturday morning, National Weather Service forecaster Mike Charlie said, the air would have felt warm because of high humidity.

But Beaty said prolonged exposure can physically weaken a person, particularly older people like the ones police found.

"People who live outside more than they live inside are more fragile physically," she said. "It wears down their immune system.

All four of the dead are over 50 and autopsies will be done to determine the cause of death. I wonder what how warm the air felt had to do with the temperatures being below freezing?
