Rainbow Scooter
Terry Hunter who calls himself "Rainbow Scooter", has been homeless for 22 years. He decided to ride his bicycle across the United States of America, to raise awareness of homelessness, especially the victims of Huricane Katina. Rainbow Scooter left Eugene Oregon on October 3, 2005 and is now in enroute to Myrtle Beach from Penscola Florida. The Pensacola News Journal reported that his puppy, Chipper died. The Humane Society of Jennings, Louisana. gave him a new dog, Rita.
The article doesn't mention how Rainbow Scooter's dogs travel. Do they run alongside the bicycle? And how does a homeless man feed them and himself? Would also have liked to see some photo's of Rainbow and Rita.

Terry "Rainbow Scooter" Hunter passed away 9-28-2010. He battled cancer until the very end.
We met up with Terry, Feb of 2007, when he peddled into our Presbyterian Disaster Relief camp at Pearlington , Miss. He helped out around camp and stayed overnight. Friendly and open about his mission. Always wondered what became of him. He sure had a good ride.
