Neighbors

When I moved here, the only annoyance was Doug's off-key singing. Loud. He stopped doing that, but I remember turning on the old computer, cranking up the volume, to drown out his voice so I could read. Which I could not do with my volume that loud.

Across from me was a young guy. Some cat named Greg would knock on his door, later in the evening or mid-afternoon, no longer recall. Greg wanted a buck to get booze. Found Greg sleeping on bench behind Victor's apt. one morning. Yeah, he would be knocking on that apt. door also, front or back. Talked to him a couple of time, then started keeping kitchen window and blinds closed. Greg went back to, Milwaukee or where ever he told me was home.

The guy got a job transfer and soon Chris and Bill arrived. I do think Bill's apt. was the one I was supposed to have been renting. Bill evicted and Mike replaced him. I remember when Phil moved in, but not who he replaced. The lady that babysits her niece (if memory serves me it is a girl) replaced Thomas and I have zero recall who was in that apt. prior to Thomas.

Thomas talked loud; he played his music loud; as with John, I like the music, but not so loud. The difference between Thomas and John and Chris is I knew Thomas would not be playing his music for more than an hour or two, tops. He also was out a lot and when home, his conversations were fairly short. Except the time his UPS package disappeared. Heard that story at least ten times, okay, maybe not ten, but...

Victor and Steve with there after midnight domestic violence arguments that kept me awake many a night or the drone of the TV or playing of computer games noise, were evicted. Rather Victor was, Steve was not a tenant, just stayed with Victor an awful lot of the time.

John replaced Corey. Corey was mostly quiet, worked nights. I would hear a lot of noise when he was cooking and doing dishes. Do not recall TV or stereo. When LaRhonda, his girlfriends stayed over, oh, my the loud fights. They were preferable to John, because they did not bother me when I opened my back door.

Who else? Derryl, was here when I moved in; he is austic and has little, um, big fits now and then, but basically quiet. Jerome, upstairs can be loud, talking or like when he broke his foot or whatever and would toss his crutches down the stairs, but he comes and goes, conversations 10 -15 minutes long. Sean I do not know at all, seldom hear him talking outside my door.

Okay, it is 11:49PM and John is talking. Outside or in, do not know.

So that is it; all my neighbors except the lady watches the kid, are men. I guess females leave TVs or radios on at night when they go to bed ~ with volume turned way up. Never met any, all men that I know of that did that. Which is why I feel like I am living in a men's dorm, not a public apartment complex with Rules & Regulations constantly violated by them all.

Omigod, there is Chris' phone ringing again. 11:53PM. What no answering machine pickup?
