Finally filled out Noise Ordinance complaint. Of course, Chris has been surprisingly quiet today. Thought I caught a break in that he was not home when I got back from returning books to library and stop at stores. Mail delivery truck parked where I could see it; picked up three days mail (or maybe not, heard some mailbox noise a bit later, so may have been too early for today's) and left door open a few inches.
Cry, cry, cry; I think the baby cried for 3 hours straight. Not sure, turned on WMP, put in earplugs, pillow over head and had a nap. By 3:30PM it was a beautiful day out, but I opted for the nap instead. Sleep deprivation is a form of abuse.
Did I mention,
OCTOBER IS NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH?
I did a 'net search. How long does a baby cry? Found a lot of info about crying babies, but only one site said a newborn cries about 2 hours a day; after 6 weeks about 3 hours a day and settles down to 1 hour a day.
How old is the baby? I am thinking 6 months, but think John has been living next door longer than that. I think the baby was born before Aaron left as manager and that the baby was born when Aaron was here, John moved in right about the time Aaron was preparing to leave.
I may have mentioned it here: If the lady would stop talking, turn off or down the TV or stereo and pay attention to the baby maybe it would stop crying. That is basically what the I read as I read about crying babies. The newborn needs to get needs met and if they do not, they tend to grow into fussy babies and toddlers.
The newborn also craves or needs to be close to parent, held, feel heartbeat, see smiling faces. My daughter, Lori, probably cried more than 3 hours a day. Colic. Taking care of nephew's son, I learned how babies react to parental stress and way belatedly realize that was likely the cause of Lori's crying. So how can I complain about a baby crying endlessly?
Gee, if the lady would close her door, it would lessen my ability to hear the baby crying.
