Name that tune! 1950s quaint, or so I thought at the time. I mean, who actually wears nightcaps?
Long time aversion to hats; or caps. Did wear kerchiefs in the '60s. Learned to love a bandanna in the late 1990s ~ great for a bad hair day. Do not know why I dislike wearing hats ~ perhaps, back then, did not like them messing up my hairstyle. Ice skating would wear a hooded sweatshirt, never use the hood, nor a cap. Perhaps it was like bike riding ~ loved feeling hair blowing in the wind.
Yeah, that messed up those hair-sprayed bouffants ~ depended upon age, I suppose. My style is definitely "less is better" ~ be it hats, jewelry or clothing. And, yeah I am going somewhere with this post.
Living on the streets was when I started wearing a ski cap to sleep ~ we lose the most body heat through the head, I read. Have taken to wearing one now, even tho' I am indoors. Thinking the cold was over, re-washed the cap ~ since I hang stuff inside to dry (no backyard) ~ could not put it on last night. Woke up this morning thinking...
...I am as old-fashion as mamma in her 'kerchief and he in his cap.
