Blog Action Day ~ Climate Change

This year's Blog Action Day topic is Climate Change. I truly have nothing to say on the subject, that has not been said a gazillion times by a bazillion other people already.

Hair spray was poking a hole in ozone layer; stopped using aerosol cans, switched to pump sprays (ditto underarm deodorant, bug spray in pump bottles harder to locate) at that time. Not long after stopped using hair spray at all ~ except for special occaision, like attending a wedding, when guests still got done up for the affairs.

How long ago was that? Seems if people have not heard about the ozone layer, Global Warming and Climate Change by now, they must be awful young. School children are being educated on the topic of what we can do (maybe) to effect a change.

Personal tales of climate change? As a kid growing up in northeast we had 4 distinct seasons. As a young adult living in the Pocono Mountains I noticed a climate change. Two season: Winter and Summer. Or so it seemed. Mostly, when it comes to weather, I have noticed it ran in cycles. Basically ten years of mild winters or sorching, dry summers, followed by ten years (more or less) of severe winters with "worst blizzard of century" and long, rainy summers with much hurricane damage in areas prone to hurricanes.

In my mind the earth should be cooling as it's center of molten lava burns itself out.

Not having 24/7 'net access anymore, not much involved in Blog Action Day; did not register, nor will be reading anyone's blog posts on the topic of Climate Change. If you are interested try www.blogactionday.org which will be listing blogs that are participating by posting on a variety of topics related to climate change.
