Fear

Still have not worked up courage to borrow a library laptop. One needs to provide credit card info ~ do not have one, just the bank debit/credit card ~ and if laptop is returned damaged (or not returned) $2,000. dollars will be charged to your account. Expensive laptops.

A guy ~ may be librarian do not know ~ said the USB thing works with the regular computers and said "Those laptops we have...", making a face. Or he felt that it is better to use regular computers with the USB thingy rather than their laptops. Yet when I ask the other clerks about the "Not Authorized" message, they casually dismiss me.

My fear is that some Internet site will mess up their laptop and I will become liable for that $2,000. that is not in my bank account. Try to psyche self up; no reason for it to get damaged through no fault of my own, yet keep putting off trying it.

Yesterday I did a Google search for Vaio, my laptop, to seek help in how to restore WiFi capacity. The site opened another window and froze. I decided to search for WiFi cards, but the stuff confuses me. Looks more like the USB thingy and maybe that is exactly what a card is.

Anyway, is frustrating because I have many posts for this site and at the moment no way to upload them.
