Homeless News

Yesterday or the day before I did a google search for "homeless news". I did not bookmark an article I wanted to write about, thinking I would quickly locate it again using the History function. The story was about a man waiting in his car, drinking coffee before attending a business meeting. He noticed a homeless man out in the cold and invited him to sit in the car to get warm. The homeless guy was waiting upon a street newspaper office to open to get his papers to sell.

The man asked the homeless guy to meet him again the following morning at a specified 6AM ish time. Impressed that the guy showed up he gave him $200. The man than set up a website and emailed 50 friends and quickly raised $15,000. in cash and $20,000. in promised used furnishings and services. I liked the story and wanted to create a link to the website. The man was so happy with the response, he is looking to help other homeless people in the same way.

The math was there~how the homeless guy would be able to pay rent on a single for a year, bank 70% of his street paper sales to pay for his next year's rent. The homeless guy fell into the world after his wife's death and a health care mess.

Could not relocate the article. New "homeless news" searches~going back 10 pages~did not bring the article back up. I saw titles I remembered seeing on the same page when I did the search the last time. Odd. For fun, I searched "homeless coffee" and 315 search results came up~some news dated today. Other less fun news is more homeless beatings and deaths.
