"A 23-year-old woman was issued a city notice to appear for public urination at the 900 block of South Second Street early Saturday morning." SOURCE WTF! Is that an example of cruel & unusual punishment?
"My friend Troy who lives in Beijing has very generously offered the spare room in his house while I look for a job. *cartwheels. I won't be homeless! I won't be homeless! Independence from the fear of being homeless! I took it too far, right? Anyway, let's hope that I won't be jobless for long. Never mind that I've never met Troy in person." SOURCE Could be dangerous.
"Not homeless...which was nice. Yup...I have somewhere to live in August (and beyond). As some of you will know I shall be boat-sitting (well cat-sitting cats that live on a boat) in July. After then I actually had nowhere, and of course, I was being my usual organised self, "Somthing'll turn up?". Something has turned up - Yay! and I have sorted my acommodation for my First Year, thank you Gillian (my new flatmate), you're great." SOURCE
"...this lady just came in to pay for a shower and a towel... and we have a new policy in which we can't sell showers anymore... but she was homeless and i just did not have the heart to tell her no... it's a freakin shower. i could't imagine not being able to just walk down the hall and bathe. not that $2 is a lot of money... but to someone who has no money, it's a lot... and i guess it's good that this lady is willing to spend the money that she doesn't have on a shower to keep herself..." SOURCE
"When someone with a conscience responded that finding a dead person was not in the least bit funny, they were flamed by the others and one person actually went as far as to comment that it was "probably a homeless person that was absolutely a no one to nobody" and thus was no great loss." SOURCE
"When he first moved to California, Tupac was homeless for 2 years." SOURCE
"Jumping to the least generous conclusion, 'If you see a homeless person on the street, check your first assumption,' suggest Dr Williams. 'A cynical person will go right to the idea that he’s there because he’s lazy, while a less angry person will allow for the possibility that a misfortune or illness was to blame' " SOURCE
"Have you ever wondered what makes the shift for some people to want to drift from being a functional human being to then deciding to want to be homeless?" SOURCE
"...how would the FBI know that the annual income of one of the victims was $889.72? Do homeless people fill out 1040s?" The source was my comment to a blog post.
