SOUTHLAND TAKEN BY STORM, WEATHER: HOMES FLOODED, TREES TOPPLED MORE RAIN ON THE WAY.

A strong wind- and rainstorm accompanied by thunder and lightning pounded Long Beach on Saturday, flooding homes and roads, toppling trees and stranding motorists.. Rushing water forced residents from about a dozen West Long Beach homes.

I finish the second article sentence thus: "...what looks to be a record breaking winter rainy season". I read the PT everyday on the streets when I was in Long Beach (versus Phoenix or OC). I am a clipper of stuff, like those articles. I soon discarded articles, keeping just the photos and soon ditched those clippings as well.
