Makeshift Curtains

This photo will not be staying on blog for long. Likely will remove my series of poor, poor, pitiful me, neighbor noise posts as well. Said (something like) "got up, pulled down blinds, lowered window, pinned curtain"...
The original makeshift curtain length was just below the bottom blue stripe. Below that is what looks like a yellow line where I sewed another piece of old shower curtain, hoping I could leave my window open as high as shown in photo, with curtain unpinned. I guess John did not get that the thin curtains covering window meant she does not want you yelling inside her apartment, nor peeking inside.
Since he did not get it, I started pinning the two split curtain halves in the middle when I know he is home, after, lowering everything, of course. As you can see the refreigreator is jammed in tight right next to the sink; absolutely no way to move it. A reason I had the curtain short, the breeze blows the material so that it would touch the hot whatchamacallit at back of fridge.
When I added the stipe, I used a pushpin to keep that edge away from 'frig mechanism, yet it still blows over from the middle when I have it unpinned. In this photo to the left is where I have the curtain pinned to the side. I used to tie them back, but too much trouble since John seems to be home more often than not.
